Former Little Cap Signs NHL Contract

The Pittsburgh Penguins have signed former Little Caps player Nick Petersen to a three-year entry level contract, it was announced  May 27 by the NHL club.

Petersen played for the Little Capitals, the Junior Capitals and the Junior Nationals during his time in Washington.  He advanced directly from the Junior Nationals to the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League in 2007-08 and was a fourth-round draft choice by the Penguins in 2009.
