Executive Details

Jeff Nygaard begins his fifth season as the Executive Director of the Washington Little Capitals in 2010-11.

Nygaard’s most recent administrative experience in local hockey was as one of the founders and Executive Director of the Ashburn Xtreme Hockey Club of the Capital Beltway Hockey League (CBHL).  He was with AXHC from its 2002 inception until May 2005.  He also served as one of the founders and Executive Director of the Northern Virginia Scholastic Hockey League from 2001 until 2004.
 
Nygaard is a former NCAA Sports Information Director at The Citadel, The College of William & Mary and the University of North Dakota.  He played varsity high school hockey at Fergus Falls (Minn.) High School and college hockey at Fergus Falls Community College (1986-87) and North Dakota Sate Univeristy (1989-90). 

He was also an on-ice official in the United Hockey League and the Southern Professional Hockey League, and has worked in the ECHL and numerous college and Junior leagues during the past 11 years.  At the youth and ACHA college levels Nygaard has officiated in five USA Hockey National Championship tournaments, including four assignments in national title games.
